I can't say it was a false alarm, but I can say it wasn't for real. Sorry ladies, I wasn't the one.
I cannot bring myself to marry Laurie. I have to wait for my German professor. :)
I am starting to think that it really is me. I am afraid I see a long life of singlehood ahead of me.

Okay, I was slightly more right than we thought about the German professor- he was raising his two orphaned nephews and Jo helped raise them after she married him.
And remember, Jo saw a long life of singlehood ahead of her, too. And then- she got married! Insha'Allah your German is slowly but surely making his way to you.
